Besides spending way too much time here at AW, I help writers (mostly teens) at other sites when I can. I give the referral link to AW to the ones who seem open to learning how to write better, or market their work, or avoid scams. (Which is not many, to be frank. Maybe fifteen percent. The rest are either open only to praise or so hopelessly bad with written language that I just don't see it happening.)

I don't know that it's a major accomplishment, but I hit 100 referrals today. If even a quarter of them give Mac as little as five bucks, that's $125 for AW, which is cool.

(I used to think those referrals were given to members who got into trouble and were written up and sent to the principal's office.)
