Howdy.

I know that quite a few of us on here are both musicians and writers.

My question to you. Are they compatible?

You see, I've got a little home studio that I occasionally fire up and annoy the neighbours with.

But for me there's no overlap between the recording and the narrative. It's either one thing or the other, never both together.

Anyone else have the same affliction? Or is it the surest signifier of my shallow dilettanism in each medium?

I dunno. I've done a lot of the Flash Fiction Challenge things we do here every Sunday night:

Hi Ben,

I had a listen. It's stranger to put voices to avatars than images. If you know what I mean? I hope you do, because I don't.

No, my problem isn't with the lyrics. It's the music part. I'm either boring the neighbours with my latest creation. Or annoying them with the incessant rattle of the keyboard.

They've yet to tell me which they prefer!
