I now have word 2010. How do I find a specific word in my MS, have that same word highlighted throughout the MS at once, and then change the spelling so that same word in the entire MS is now correct all in one sweep?

I believe this can be done with Adobe (at least the highlighting part).

Thanks

In the Home menu, click Editing, then click Find. Then type in your word, click the Replace tab, type in your replacement word, then you can go through the doc and replace. I suggest NOT using "Replace All" in most cases:

For instance, if you are replacing "Ann" with "Anne", you can also end up with "anneiversary" and "anneual" etc. If you are replacing "Fitzlewhomp" with "Fred", probably won't matter as much :D

If you click the More >> button in the Replace window, you can tell Word to Find whole words only, which means it will only find "Ann" and not "anniversary."

There are some other useful options as well, like Match prefix, which means a replace command for "Ann" will find "anniversary" but not "Mariann."

In the More Options, you can do Reading Highlight, which does the highlighting part and will highlight whatever you entered in the find field, if you choose to do it that way.

If you select "Highlight all" it will highlight the word wherever it's found and also count the number of instances it occurred. Makes a good way to count the number of times you used "it" or whatever.
