I am trying to submit to a literary magazine that utilizes a program called Submission Manager Version 1.1. When pasting into this submission manager all italics and bold are lost, and the indents and centering are off. I've tried pasting in documents from Office Word '07 in docx format as well as converting them to rtf format. No difference. I've contacted the editor, to whom questions of this nature are to be directed, but he has not deigned to respond. Any help here greatly appreciated.

I just looked at the form they used for inputing your MS. It's a simple textbox, and therefore, will only accept plain text. It won't accept your formatting. You'd be better off pasting your MS into Wordpad, to see what it's going to look like, and copy & paste from there.

Cool, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Alas, it didn't paste into the submission manager any better in Wordpad. Oh well, I suppose if the pub wants it they'll ask for the bold/italics. Didn't submit; not sure I want to submit to a publisher using such a primative submission form.
