Which Version of Open Office to Get?

I've found room on my laptop for OO, but there's three versions mentioned on the homepage. One might think, get the latest version, but I've been burned by buggy new versions of free software before. :(

Which version would you recommend? Thanks!

Get the release and don't bother with the betas and alphas.

You want 3.2.1. That is the latest release.

Chances are you haven't been burned by buggy new versions, but buggy beta versions that you downloaded by mistake.

While the homepage has a link to 3.3 it hasn't actually been released yet. It's in beta, which means people interested in testing the next version can download it with the understanding it may still be buggy and it's still being worked on for actual release.

The "I want to download OpenOffice.org" link should always point you toward the current official release.

I wouldn't recommend the latest version. There is a practice in the computer industry to always go for the latest version - 1. So if the latest version is version 3.3, go for the version before it, 3.2.1

Just sharing my opinion.

A bit arbitrary with that. as I said, make sure to get the release, not the beta. Betas are for adventurous users who want to bug-check and bug-fix, and not want to focus on productivity. 3.3 is in beta and it states on the site quite explicitly that it is in beta stage.
