Some websites on my computer aren't loading correctly. Their "server takes too long to respond" and this is making my mother very VERY angry.

In particular, http://bangoronlinebanking.com is not loading properly. We managed to log her in, activate, and then the connection failed again. I pinged the servers and found that the site usually tells me it's too slow or their server is not working. So is this a problem on their end? Can someone else run the url through a few checkers?

Trouble is, this site and a few others like some unnamed news site she checks won't load. I'm hoping it's an error on their part, but that doesn't help me fix the problem.

Please help. It's not fun waking up every morning at five am to your mother screaming at the computer.

It takes about one second or less for the webpage to load when I click your link (once I let scripts run on that page; I have it set so scripts don't automatically run). Sometimes sites do run slow for various reasons; I even experience it here from time to time. Is the problem constant?

Is your mother using Window XP?

The problem seems to be irregular, but the website is frequently down. Like I said, we were connected while going through the login process, and then on the last step connection was lost.

We're running Windows 7, Firefox 3.6.8

I just went to that link from another computer (at the office). It brought that page up without any problem; of course, I can't go through the whole login process.

I'll give that a try but I've had problems with getting my computer to ACTUALLY get rid of the files that hang onto my browsing history, logins and stuff. If anyone has some tips on how to thoroughly do that please let me know. I'll see if I can google something that actually works when I get home.

Get a cleaning program, such as ATF Cleaner or CleanUp. These are freeware programs and do a good job.

At some point you should also clean up your registry. I have a commercial program for that.

In Firefox, if Clear Recent History (all going back 4 hours) doesn't work, go into Options -> Privacy and delete all cookies. Failing that, go into History and delete all instances of the offending websites. Also, go Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter.
Other issues may be her anti-virus and anti-spyware programs may be partially blocking these websites. It may also be just her connection dropping out; she should watch her connectivity on the bottom right corner, and if it's erratic try rebooting her modem and wireless router if she has one.
Good luck!

I'm having connecting problems with AW. Either it won't connect to the site at all or once I get on, I can't get into any of the forums.

My diagnosis (diagnostics?) report states that there is nothing wrong on my end.
So, is the site having problems?

This happens quite a bit.

Not since mid August. I note that you've been able to get on regularly enough to post fairly frequently.

Without knowing your OS, I suggest you check your security settings--if they are too high the Google ads will present a problem since any javascript in an iframe is perceived as hazardous (the ads are safe).

Thanks Medievalist.:)

I will look into that, maybe that will help.

Once I'm on I can post,(do I post too much? hehe sorry) but sometimes after I make a post it won't let me out of the thread, or 'new posts' won't open. It just stays stuck until I close the screen.
Maybe just a very, very, slow connection. I have pretty good security, so I'll see what it's set on.

Thank you, again.:)
