Hey everyone,
what does it mean when an agent wants to talk on the phone?
A friend got this message after querying and then getting a full request:

"...Do you have a number where I can reach you?
Have read the whole thing...

What could this phone call potentially be about? anyone had this experience?

Probably.

It's a good thing. It could be an offer. In my case, the first call was "I like this, but I need something more breakout, what else are you working on?" which led to rep.

Could be an offer. Could be wanting to discuss a possible revise and resubmit. Or could be, like Ryan, wanting to see what else the writer has cooking. I'd bet one one or two more than three, but it's generally a good sign.

Like they said - this is a very good sign.
The agent is likely sounding out your friend as to whether they are someone they can do business with

I agree with the others. They would not want to be calling you and telling you to buzz off. :evil Sounds like a good sign to me.
