I'm trying to post an avatar, and it's not letting me. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Are you trying to use an avatar that's too big?

It will tell you what size avatar you're allowed on the Edit Avatar page.

Make sure that the image is within the criteria for dimensions in pixels, and in terms of file size.

Upload it from your own hard drive, rather than via a url.

I've tried both uploading from my computer and from photobucket. It is the right size, according to the directions.

It uploaded my avatar, but, although I have the option checked, it's not viable on my posts.

You'll need to have 50 posts before you can upload a custom avatar, Cindy. At that time you can also have the regular-size avatar, 175x240px.

Actually, it wasn't showing because I uploaded it to profile instead of avatar. I know, but I have these days when I get up and my brain stays in bed. And it started showing up before 50 posts, though it's itty bitty. Guess it'll grow with my post count--right?
