This may sound silly/stupid, but I have recieved information for an erotic romance anthology (of all heat levels) that states the submission must have HEA. What is HEA? I'm assuming it was supposed to be HEAT and someone forgot the last letter. However, I don't want to assume anything because we all know what that does.

Is there anyone who can help me with this? I would hate to submit a story and miss out because I didn't have all my duckies in a row.

Thanks everybody.

Happily Ever After. Basically, romances must have a happy ending.

Another variation you might see is HFN, which is "Happy For Now."

Since we don't usually follow the characters until they actually die then I tend to consider most HEA to be HFN anyway. One can't see into the future - anything could happen! HFN with a good chance of HEA is the best I'm prepared to concede. ;)
