Family Tree Software?

Can anyone recommend a free or inexpensive program which makes family trees? I'm trying to keep track of who's related in my story universe and it's getting complicated. The only programs I've seen so far have access to real-world genealogy databases which is much more than I need since I'm dealing with imaginary characters.

I'd try using brain mapping or idea mapping software--it's designed to make varoius kinds of diagrams for pre-writing, including tree diagrams. There are several inexpensive and a few free programs. I bet there's even a free web-based site

I haven't yet figured out how to organize a nice looking one yet, but using the free version of Xminds should do the trick.
