UK Screenwriters - Brads? Paper?

So I've been trying my best to search through tons of websites to find all this sort of stuff, and it's getting to an extremely annoying point. Am I plain blind, or is this stuff actually impossible to get a hold of in the UK?

I'm talking, of course, about the industry standard Acco brass fasteners. They seem so easy to get hold of in the US, but over here, impossible. I've read that these are the specific ones to use and that cheap imitations wouldn't go down well... which doesn't fill me with any confidence.

As well as this, how about the US letter paper? I have been able to find a few places to source this, but not as easy/cheap as it would be in the US - and it's not pre-punched with the 3 holes, which would be another headache.

So, any other UK writers that have been through this? What was your solution?

Also, sorry if this has been brought up before. I've searched the forum and found threads about what brads to use etc. but nothing pertaining specifically to the situation of being based in the UK, so forgive me if I've not looked close enough! :)

Thanks for any help!

Print on standard UK A4 paper and fasten with these --

Available here, or wherever. They're all similar and they should all fit 2 hole punched paper.

I don't love them but they are the most common method of fastening I've come across from the BBC to Working Title and pretty much everywhere in between.

But if you're talking about what to do as a UK writer submitting to the US, well that might be different.

You can order 3-hole punchers, brads and everything else from the Writers Store, based in Los Angeles and they'll send it internationally. Paper would be a nightmare to ship though. There's obviously a size difference between A4 and the US equivalent but I think you'd have to bite the bullet on that one. As long as your script isn't massively under or over long, I don't think it would be too much of a sticking point.

Thanks for the responses guys. :)

I've bought a box of the Acco 2-hole fasteners mentioned and they work great. Of course, for sending to the US they wouldn't suffice - though I'm glad you mentioned Writers Store, clockwork, as they do send internationally... I wasn't aware of this. The shipping is expensive but I suppose one would have to bite the bullet on that when it came down to it!

HOw fortunate!
I have a almost whole box of US brads I'm trying to get rid of, and I'm in the UK. You can have them for free; I'm dejunking my house right now and didn't want to chuck them out.
Send me an email with your address and I'll post them to you.
I bought them in London many years ago. Somewhere, there's a shop that sells these things, but I can't remember the address.
I got paper from them too, but I doubt if I have any of that left over.
