My goal for this month is to finish the WIP I started last month. It's been going great guns so I'm sure I just jinxed myself! (Jinxie July... no.)

At this point, I just want to get back to writing consistently. Coming down with a cold isn't helping...

Planning to finish the short (hopefully) story I'm working on and keep going on my revision.

I'll get my count in later. Started a MAJOR rewrite on the WIP. Went back to chapter 32 and on into 33 before stopping. Not sure, but it's somewhere around 1100 for today.

563 today on re-writing a short story. The plan is to re-work two, possibly three of the ones I've written, then write a couple more by the end of the next month or two. I'm literally too busy to tackle a novel, and the house is way too packed to write anything longer than 500 to 1,000 words in one day. Oh well, I'll do something if I can... if I can't, no biggie. I'm writing for me.

And subbing a few of the short stories to mags and contests, but don't tell anyone...

I'm in.

319 words today. My July goal isn't to finish the stinkin' novel, but I want to get it novel length. I've been stuck at around 55K words for weeks, it seems like. Add a little, chop a little.

At the rate I'm going ... well, let's just say I need to do a little more than 319 words a night to hit my goal.

Spring, I'm living vicariously through you. I can't wait to hear when you reach 70K!

TheIT, I hope you fight off that cold. Try some zinc, and drink lots of tea.

Oh no! I hope it's nothing like the cold I have (2 weeks and counting...). Feel better!

I got 1650 yesterday, but it was another day of frowning, tearing out, rewriting. I had some kind of a mental block that made me do lots of TELL and very little SHOW so I kept having to go back and redo it. Hopefully the block is gone, baby, gone.

Tallied up my rewrite and between yesterday and today, I have a total of 1985 new words in chapters 32 and 33. Not sure how that affects the total word count on the WIP yet though. I'll update my ticker when I get through all the rewrites.

Happy 4th to those who celebrate!

I spent the day in a car traversing the east coast. I'm home now. What a long drive (12 hours over two days. Did it in one day on the way up to rural Maine.)

I got home and worked on my WIP. I now have...ready?...a final version! WOOT! DONE. Finished! Fini! La Fin!
Well...until I get suggestions for more changes. But...I mean, come on...I'm D.O.N.E. with it!

I'm not sure how many words I had today. I would guess 200-300 because I have 787 words, but a bit more than half I would guess have been recycled.
