RWA Nationals 2010 - are you attending, and announcement about WF Chapter

I'll be attending this year. Anyone else? I think last year JOB was the only person I actually managed to meet. That was great, and all,

, but I'd love to connect with more people.

Also, if you're like me and you missed the announcement about there being a WF Chapter of the RWA, here's the website.

They are having their inaugural meeting Thursday evening. Afterwards, Donald M@@ss will speak about the state of the market for WF.

Nope. I'm POD, and I wasn't sure how to handle it. I have a banquet that night anyway for the Booksellers Best Award, so less stress not dealing with this as well. I always enjoy simply attending the signing. No one would know me anyway. Too small a press...

Someday though, according to my fantabulous agent!!

I'm still planning on Sat, yes!

The only thing that might put a wrench in things is if my editor (that just doesn't get old to say!) is only available to meet then. I'm waiting to hear. I doubt it will be a problem, but it's still an unknown, so thought I'd mention. I'll PM you my cell # so we can communicate on site!

I'm going to crash one of the parties since Orlando is only a hop, skip and a jump away. And I'll probably spend a good amount of time that night in the bar. First round's on me if you can find me!

Otherwise, I think I'll drag hubby over to Disney for some fun.

Less than 2 weeks till the conference!

Activities I'll definitely participate in during RWA:

Beau Monde Soiree
ESPAN Tea
eHarlequin PJ party (open to all members of eHarl board)
Harlequin Party
Midnight Madness Bazaar (staffing IASPR table 8-10pm)
Sandy's workshop on Saturday
Disney adventure Saturday afternoon/evening!
various breakfasts and teas

(I haven't even gone through the other seminars to select from those, yet!)

Things I still need to do in preparation for RWA:

Cocktail dress
Pack
Bank
Wrap up work stuff so I can leave town guilt-free (this is the doozy on my list!)

I'll be crashing the bar and hanging out a bit, too!

Plus I'll be at the Ballantine party Friday night, and may be at the Ballantine book signing thingy Saturday morning.

I plan to arrive Friday afternoon and leave Sunday morning, so blink-and-you'll-miss-me. I also haven't booked a room yet--I know, I know--so if anyone has any suggestions, or doesn't mind letting me crash in your room for two nights in exchange for a bit of cash (or if you know anyone else who wouldn't mind), let me know.

I know it's kinda silly to reply and say I'm not going, but I'm not ready or enthused about this year.

But next year in NYC, oh yeah! I plan on that one!
