...that whenever I browse through the M/T/S forum, I'm inspired to write a little better, a little harder, a little faster!

There's such a wealth of knowledge here, and I love learning from you guys.

I hope to be posting here more than just once a month, too! HA!
At first I was a bit intimidated by how enormous this site is, to be honest, but I'm trying to slowly learn my way around...

Speaking of wealth of knowledge, funny you should say that. It took me months to notice that if I clicked on one of the title headings, like "Genre Specific" there were other sub forums (like Pagan) that weren't showing on the main page of the watercooler. Funny.

I agree with your opinion of M/T/S -- inspiring, and competitive in a fun way that makes you want to do more. And our mod, Ma Deuce :e2file:(HeyJude), is .

Oh geez - about once a week I stumble over a sub-subforum I'd forgotten building. At its best, exploring AW is kind of like getting lost on foot in pre-Katrina New Orleans.

I love this place. :D It's like our own little haven. It's just an encouraging place and I totally agree.

You know, I forget just how sparkly that unicorn is until I post. :tongue

Me too! I agree! :D Haha I've never been on a forum (that I actually intend to visit on a regular basis) more than a few hundred. So to have 25,000 o_O with areas and space for everyone... it's just... huge! And a little intimidating at first, but then that means there so much more help available, and that is definitely a good thing ;) I love it here, haha! Oh, although it's slightly distracting too because it's so insanely awesome :tongue

I've learned a ton since I came here. It's funny because I'd thought I knew enough and was ready last summer when I finished my manuscript. Sure it needed editing, but it wouldn't be difficult. Thing is, I never learned what real editing entailed. I started doing research and found this place and in a matter of weeks realized not only that I knew very little about the industry, but that I was nowhere near ready. I spent six months editing before I ever sent out the first query, and even then I still rewrote the beginning another three times. Okay, so technically the lack of interest probably means it's still not ready, but it's a thousand times better than it was before, and I've got this place to thank.

I couldn't imagine having done things like written a decent query letter without the SYW area.

Yay! We're glad you're here. :) And if you have any questions about anything, Exile, I'm here to help! If I don't know the answer, I'll know where we can find it.

And our mod, Ma Deuce :e2file:(HeyJude), is .

 Thanks. :)

Best place too to get the skinny on agents. Not to mention I wouldn't have had a clue how to do any of that submitting stuff.

And Kaitie, may I say, you look absolutely shimmery today darling. You simply must tell me who does your fur. I would so adore to have some sparklies for my hat.

***Um .... you mean Kaitie doesn't really look like her avatar?*** :D

Thank you, jude!

kaitie: I'm just getting the nerve to finally post my query here and get it butchered! I used to loathe constructive criticism, but I guess I've learned that it's the only way to progress. I honestly can't wait to get some feedback on it! hehe

*comes out of exile for ken*

I actually happen to be a mod on an 80s vintage toy site, which takes up a lot of my spare time. It's fun and all, but doesn't help me much when it comes to writing, that's for sure! Thank god I found this place!

This is THE BEST forum! I love it to bits. My work schedule keeps me from being here as much as I'd like...but... ;)

I agree with all of the above! *is often late to the party :p * AW can be intimidating due to its size but the people have all been lovely and I've always felt very welcome here in our little M/T/S corner.

Mad love for all y'all! *HUGS*
