Contests?

are there any prestigious horror awards? i mean of 'the hugo' notoriety? i'd be curious on this, too.

I don't know about short story contests, but AFAIK the Bram Stoker award is the horror field's big prize.

that's something i'd be up for. i'm working on a challenge right now which has gotten a bit out of hand despite things just being crazy this week (in the middle of buying a business, so you can imagine where my priorities lie, getting the deal done or writing a horror story, lol).
