I had seen the trailers for KILLERS and KNIGHT AND DAY, and thought at the time. "Wow, this is a whole genre, isn't it?" This article comparing the two films pretty much confirms it.
For those people who wonder why a release is necessary for submitting a script - here is a perfect example of similar ideas in simultaneous development. Did someone 'rip off' someone else's New Idea? Or is it all a rehash of a generic plot?

SIDE NOTE: I've seen the trailers to "Get Him to the Greek" - and thought to myself 'Are they remaking "My Favorite Year"?' Anyone else get that impression? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084370/
