This might sound weird, but when I open the "My Documents" folder on my PC, some of the documents are listed in blue, while others are still in black.
Is this a potential threat or something? I virus scanned some of the blue ones and they came back negative.
Any one know?

Most likely explanation: Files shown in blue are compressed. You ran Windows' drive cleanup, and files got compressed to save space. Relax and enjoy it.

Yep, that's it.
Thanks for the reply!!

I wasn't going to do it since you were asking a serious question, but since you've gotten the question answered . . .

My smart-aleck reply would have been "Maybe they're sad." ;-)

I noticed a change in file color when I encrypted files on my work laptop. But I don't know if that feature is commonly available.

Blue files and folders!! :) Wow, pretty cool!!

I've never seen such a thing. It would be pretty awesome if it happened to me. :D
All you have to do is compress the folder. Right click the folder name, go to Properties and select Compress (in the Advanced options).

Yes, encrypted file names change to green (on XP).
