I actually ENJOY reading scripts.

Just came across Life as a House.

Great movie, very interesting analogy.
The scripts a good read.

I couldn't put it down. I had stoped reading it only because I got a spy ware warning but I printed it out and will finish it tonight.

How many of you read the script BEFORE watching the movie?

I love to read. Anything.
So, I guess I don't understand the drudgery of reading scripts to learn from them.

I'm somewhat used to it as well.
I used to act in high school and I write, act, and direct stage plays for church, so, maybe I just naturally read a script the way I would act it or ask others to.

Is there a point to this?
No, not really. Just thought I'd share.
Wondered if any one else actually enjoys reading scripts.

I'll bet you thought the title said "Life As A Horse" :)

Yep, me too, judging from what's in my download subdirectory I'm reading more scripts than novels now, in fact it's probably a 5-to-1 thing.

I read Spanglish from IMSDb.com a few days ago, haven't seen the film but now want to, just to see whether it's as good as the script. Looks like today's read will be What About Bob? which just appeared there.

I can't recall reading any "how to write scripts" book that gave me an emotional reaction and realization of how clever it is to write something a certain way, whereas screenplays often do.

I like reading scripts, but I don't have the time to read one every day like I would like to do. Once the kids start school again (In a week, Yeah!), I'll start reading more. I usually tend to read scripts of movies I've already seen. I like to look for the differences in the two, from script to film, and how this scene or that scene was written.

Buy yourself that Barbie horseriding CD, the thrill of bobbing up and down on virtual horseback until you're physical sick takes a lot of beating.

From little acorns...

CLOP (crime/horror)

A maverick detective must solve a series of grisly murders that take place in theaters where pantomines are being performed. The only clues are neat sets of bloody hoofprints that decorate the trampled bodies.
