There are lots of ways to organize your memoir, and I have a sneaky suspicion that most of us have changed our story structure many times along the way. Have you scanned any craft-related books for ideas? If not, you might enjoy YOUR LIFE AS STORY (Tristine Rainer). Another that I especially like is Natalie Goldberg's OLD FRIEND FROM FAR AWAY: How to Write a Memoir. (I have the audio version and love replaying it for inspiration.)
