I am looking for a story to that is about heaven having been discovered by scientists on Venus. On earth everyone is committing suicide in order to get to the afterlife.
Unfortunately that is all I remember about the story. I believe I read it in a lit class in 2004 from a required textbook. Unfortunately I have lost that text book in moving around since. I can't get it out of my head and I really want to read it again. I have searched everywhere I can think of online to find the title/author. If anyone has any info on this story it'd be amazing.
