Hi. I've been lurking around here to find out about agents, but I finally registered because I thought you guys might like to hear about a fantastic writers conference going on this June 14-18 in Utah. This will be my fifth year attending and I can't tell you how valuable the conference has been to me. It has also helped many others refine their craft and GET PUBLISHED. For example, PB author Kristyn Crow made connections that led her to sell manuscripts to HarperCollins, Scholastic, and Albert Whitman. YA author Heather Dixon met both her editor and her agent at the conference. YA author Matthew Kirby met his agent at the conference. YA author Ann Dee Ellis connected with an author who referred her to the agent she eventually signed with. PB author Allison Randall met the editor who eventually bought her manuscript. Illustrator Jed Henry made connections that led to his agent. PB and chapter book author Rick Walton credits the conference for at least three manuscript sales. MG author Claudia Mills met her agent and an editor at the conference.
