Hey, everyone. I'm quite new to the boards (they are quite nice, by the way) and am looking for a writing partner. A fellow fantasy writer would be my first preference, and, hopefully, someone who is well read within the genre. I have several novels at various degrees of completion and have grown tired of not finishing anything.
It is well past time for me to get serious.
I need someone to help me stick to my daily word quota, throw ideas around with, perhaps exchange drafts of chapters for critiques, and generally kick my butt when I slack off or try to prop myself up with old excuses. I will be glad to make it a mutual relationship, and would have it no other way.
I always find I preform better--as well as much more efficiently and consistently--when I have someone involved with my writing, and it seems that Phoenix is devoid of any fantasy writers. (I guess it's time to move to New Mexico).
If anyone is interested I can offer a trial period or something, just to see how we would get along, but, I assure you, I mean business and will be a hard-nosed, accountable partner.
