How do women feel about other naked women?

Being a straight man, I know most men try to avoid seeing each other naked. Men really hate seeing penises and guy butts, but little problem seeing a chest.

I was wondering, what is like for women seeing same gender nude, assuming they're not lesbians? I would think a woman would avoid looking at a vagina the same way men don't like seeing penises, but what are their feelings on boobs? If woman A is topless, and woman B walks in, what is the etiquette there? Does woman A cover up, and woman B leave in a hurry, the same as if woman B were a man? Or since they're both girls, does it not matter?

Also, how common is it for a woman to touch another woman's boob? I've seen some do it to compare each other, but is this common? Would homosexual thoughts cross their mind, or is it basically like nothing? Is it comparable to a dude grabbing another guy's cock?

Not to be picky, but you'd have to be more than naked for me to be able to see your vagina.

It seems that very generally, women are a little more comfortable seeing each other naked that many men seem to be. That said, gawking would be uncomfortable and unfriendly and then, of course, there's the question evaluating yourself against the other naked women. We're a bit tough on ourselves, at least in Western culture.

I was in a spa, naked as the day I was born, with 200 Germans, both men and women, and everyone afforded as much privacy, as could be had in that state, by keeping their eyes either moving or on a neutral target.

Really? then why do all those athletes wander around naked in the locker room?

Good grief. They're just boobs. What, are we 14 here?

For what possible reason could some woman need to grab my tit? She has her own, she doesn't need to go groping mine to know what they feel like. If I girl's planning on copping a feel she should at least buy me a drink first. Or better yet, let me buy her one. Since everyone knows that all women are just a few drinks from being bi.

Yeah, no one touches each other's boob casually. There'd need to be a bee or a hundred dollar bill on it.

As a straight woman, I have no problem being naked around other women in a locker room situation. It's not like we all stand around staring. Not are we standing there in suggestive poses. We just dry our hair, put on our deodorant, or whatever. Normal movements.

Also, how common is it for a woman to touch another woman's boob? I've seen some do it to compare each other, but is this common? Would homosexual thoughts cross their mind, or is it basically like nothing? Is it comparable to a dude grabbing another guy's cock?

What? This is just stupid, really, and it's like you're purposely looking to be titillated--no pun intended.

The only time I've touched another woman's boob is when one of my friends got her implants and she yanked up her shirt and said, "Feel these!" And it was like squeezing slightly firmer water balloons. It's not like I suddenly wanted to have sex with her. Geez.

I'm supposed to notice there's a naked woman in the room? Unless they've got something I don't, there's nothing to pay attention to.

And touching without invitation is beyond the Pale. You can lose teeth, regardless of gender, if you go grabbing a woman's breast without invitation.

I've known a few girls who poke and sometimes each other in the boobs just for fun.

And by "fun," I literally mean "because they're soft and squishy!"

Depends on the situation. Long-time friends have an understanding as part of their friendship. Women as part of a sex-themed group also have that as part of the understanding of the group.

But to grab another woman's breast in a locker room, passing in a hallway or a street or in the rest room at work? Be prepared to get serious reprecussions.

I can attest to the fact that even a woman's voice will go higher when hit appropriately. I've done it to both genders for this very offense.

girls in a dorm might horse around and do a little booby boxing but i have never seen a grown woman touch another grown woman's breast. i cannot imagine even the most timid responding with anything less than a fist in the mouth. and i have some pretty kinky friends--s6

Well, I think he meant most. Most men I know, including me, would rather not see another man's penis. The only exception in my case would be in a porn picture. But obviously, those are centralized around what the girl is doing to the guy's penis. Hehehe...

As for women, not being one, obviously makes it difficult for me to weigh in on. I do know, however, that my wife and her friends are pretty comfy with each other. They don't cover up around each other in chance naked encounters. Heck... most of her friends dont cover up when I have chanced apon them naked... so.. I dunno. I'm guessing and I stress the word guessing, that my experience is not atypical. My point is, that women are probably (and I stress the word probably as well, I'm guessing here) a little more comfortable with same gender nudity than men are... and that's a wide and weak generalization... but it coincides with my personal experience. But I would also hazard a guess that it still has a degree of "uncomfortable" or "embarrassment" or "envy" as the case might be. As much as we men love to imagine that when women get together, its to wear sexy lingerie, have topless pillow fights and engage in same gender sexual exploration... I sadly must report, that's probably not true in most cases...

ug... see, now I'm depressed... *sulks*

What's she doing, nude yoga? :D There are limited non-hilarious situations where I can imagine being able to see another woman's vagina, but yes, the general reaction would be to look away, unless it's at a birth and you're helping, for example.

If woman A is topless, and woman B walks in, what is the etiquette there? Does woman A cover up, and woman B leave in a hurry, the same as if woman B were a man? Or since they're both girls, does it not matter?

This is very general, but I think woman A would simply continue with getting dressed/undressed, and woman B would just slide her gaze away and get on with her own business. It would be a case of there not being anything particularly to look at. It would, I think, definitely be rude and unwelcome to actively look.

Also, how common is it for a woman to touch another woman's boob? I've seen some do it to compare each other, but is this common?

It sounds like something that would happen either among a group of friends who have an understanding that that kind of contact was fine, as DeleyanLee said, or perhaps if the women were doing it with the awareness that they had an appreciative (male) audience.

All this is very general. The reactions of "women" aren't that uniform; it all depends on individual comfort levels, upbringing, the culture you're in, etc. Do you have those for the characters in your story? If you can say those, it might get you some more specific and relevant responses.

Yeah, what Brindle Chase said.

There's a lot less homophobia among the general female population than among the male. We can share a bed in a hotel room without freaking out or making a move, go about our naked business like drying off, even stopping to talk to the woman at the next locker, without covering up.

Different locker rooms have different etiquette, though. The level of comfortable female nudity at one may be very different than another, where people wrap in towels.

And of course our genitalia, being innies, doesn't show like a penis does. I'd be ill at ease with a naked woman walking on her hands with her legs spread. (I'd also be phoning Cirque de Soliel or however you spell it.)

Maryn, naked inside these clothes

I am a little confused about why this is in the erotica forum. Generally if two naked woman are indulging in something erotic... well then they both feel pretty comfortable about female nakedidity. Otherwise it is all context dependent: woman on train breastfeeding = non-issue, random stanger slaps me with her breast = not so much.

Since I work at a gym, I've seen both in the extreme. Some woman are extremely comfortable walking around nude and then others are very very timid. I think it all boils down to how comfortable a woman is with her own body.

Well, perhaps I should've been clearer. Yes, I meant if both women are friends and know each other. I of course did not mean if some random stranger cops a feel.

As a straight woman, I have no problem being naked around other women in a locker room situation. It's not like we all stand around staring. Not are we standing there in suggestive poses. We just dry our hair, put on our deodorant, or whatever. Normal movements.

I didn't mean in a locker room. I meant if woman A was out of the shower, in her own house, and went to her room. For whatever reason she has on bottoms, but is topless, and woman B walks into the room. Woman B isn't being a pervert, she honestly didn't know woman A was in the room and topless.

Not to be picky, but you'd have to be more than naked for me to be able to see your vagina.

I meant the general pubic area. The mound. Where they grow hair. Any area that's generally between a woman's legs.

I am a little confused about why this is in the erotica forum. Generally if two naked woman are indulging in something erotic.

I'm asking for the sake of the build up. I want to write a lesbian story where two girls start as friends, and I wanted to play up the nudity/awakwardness angle without seeming silly.

Yep. Same is true for men, in my experience.

Write the individual character. If the girl is awkward/timid about it, you can play with that. Don't worry about the "average" woman.

Don't feel bad for asking -- how else will you know, right ;)

That being said, I don't want to see my friend's boobs any more than I want them seeing mine, but if it happens I can assure you it's no big deal.

If I caught another chick staring at mine I would automatically think, "omg, she's judging me and hers are better," I would not think they wanted some sexual encounter.

The vaginal area would be weirder.

Having been a bar tender at a strip club for several years, I've become desensitized by female private parts.

I have touched fake boobs to see how they feel.

If I see a naked woman and she's got a great body, I may stare a bit out of envy.

I don't go out of my way to see someone's vagina, but I have seen them and was not really phased - specifically when someone showed me their piercing in the dressing room NOT at close range.

My best female friend and I have wandered around topless when we're getting ready for a night out. It was no big deal, but would I do it with a random stranger? No. There's a difference between nudity and sex or sexual feelings. Is your character generally a shy person, or surprised that she wants to see the other woman naked or by her sexual feelings? Or is she uncomfortable with her own body? If you play it one of those ways, it might work.

I think women see a lot more female nudity - it always amuses me that it's rarely "vital to the role" that a man wave his bits around on camera for a film, porn or not.

At home is similiar to the locker room, I think. If she's a friend, I'd walk around and get ready the same as I do alone, or with a big more towel if that's easy. I don't think the pubic area is a big deal at all on a woman, couldn't care less. Boobs are closer to the face, so I find that more embarrassing talking to another girl. But again, no biggie.

Staring would be very, very weird.

I was at the gym before with a shaving pattern that some might have found surprising down there, but again, no stares. It was high summer (over 100 degrees), in case anyone did wonder ;) But nobody asked, of course!

In a way familiar nudity is the opposite of building up to something erotic, you can be naked with a friend because they are not a potential sexual partner.
