Edit: I took Deleyanlee's advice and have posted my first chapter in the SYW if you want an idea of what it is like:

Edit: Here is a link to my current query if you'd rather read that instead and then decide if you want to read it:

Edit: The word count may be a bit intimidating, so if you would like me to start you off with the first chapter or two, I would gladly comply =] I want to knock down the word count a bit more, so that's part of the reason I would like a Beta reader.
Hi, I have written and revised my epic fantasy novel "Ego Duelist" several times, but I need a second party to look at it. It is at 128,000-ish words and I have been told by several people here to have Beta readers read it. Like many here, I really really want to land an agent and get published, so I am doing whatever I can to achieve this dream. I would appreciate it if someone with time and experience would help me with my novel (I believe this is called a mentor. I'm new to this, so I'm not very sure).
I would like helpful criticism (not sugar-coated, but not "RAWR NEVER WRITE AGAIN!!") If you are interested or have any questions, please let me know! Thank you for your interest!
