Just thought I'd post a hello. I am looking for a new forum to call home now that corporate whoring has rendered my former haunt a pay-to-post debacle. I won't name it, though I feel like engaging in some defamation
*must be good, damnit*
Anyway... so I am new to this forum, hoping to find great people and a good environment, somewhere nice to share thoughts and work.
A tiny bit of background... I'm 23, writing is a hobby at this stage in my life, although in the distant future I hope to retire and write full-time, with cats and stuff. I'm make a great crotchety hermit, truly. Meanwhile I'm training as an actor after an abortive law career. Urgh, lawyers. Vile.
So, definitely an amateur in the writing stakes, although have been fortunate enough to have a novel and various poems published, nothing major, but fun. Poetry is my main passion in terms of writing, I tend to lack the patience for longer, prosier pieces! Recently I've been trying to figure out how to write good dialogue... hoping to maybe work on a script or screenplay if the ideas come.
