Yes...I see it now, incidence of breast cancer plummets, car accidents, falling, running into walls by men becomes the number one killer. Not to mention all the personal injuries those of us who are *cough* endowed, will have when we try to run down the stairs, or up them, hell even bend over and pick up something we dropped....

wooohoooo ;)

I think the aluminum in deodorant has a lot to do with the rise in breast cancer.

You can tell the researcher did not study logic. Breast size is a huge factor in whether and for how long a bra is worn. Maybe bras have no connection to cancer stats and breast size does?

Or maybe women who wear a bra for more than 12 hours a day are women who worry a great deal about their appearance and also wear cosmetics for an equal amount of time, and the cosmetic ingredients are causing cancers in disproportionate numbers.

The author presents no data supporting the supposition that women of higher socioeconomic status wear bras more hours a day, only cites a single study by researchers whose credentials he does not know, whose supposed sampling method he cannot know. Basing any conclusion on that supposition is faulty logic.

I can't give this article any serious attention. I suspect the dude just likes to see the girls swing free.

That's unsubstantiated too. Although it's a very popular "friend" spam mail.

I almost never wear a bra. Not because I think doing so will cause breast cancer. More because I'm like a half size in the boob department. Normal bra sizes don't fit me right (either they're a little too small or a little too big).

And, given my fair skin and the fact my mother died from metastatic mellanoma, I'm more worried about sun exposure. (The recent increase in mellanoma is, incidentally, linked to changes in fashion and standards of dress.)

Yes! One more reason to be unconfined. As if I needed one. I didn't start wearing a bra until my mid 20s when I started working professionally. I only wear them out of the house and sometimes not even then.

I think I must be an internet snob. Blue font makes his essay even more ridiculous.

What a doofus.

I have to wear one unless I'm wearing clothes, like a halter, that have a built in shelf of some kind. I'm a big C or small D depending on the bra, and they get sore if they hang free all day.

Out side the beltway...
MY GF read and we discussed.

She feels there may be some truth to the study, but the study does not take into account many other factors, like genetics or a woman's life style to pin point bra's as a major contributor to breast cancer.

My GF is large and she wears a bra to bed because she hates rolling over onto her boobs and pinching or stretching them in her sleep. As far as movement, if you wear the right bra, the boobs move with you when you move. She sees sports bra's as more inherently dangerous because of their restrictive nature.

My GF seriously studies holistic and herbal medicine and she feels its the increase of hormones in our foods that is increasing cancer risk. Just look at the increase of breast cancer in men who do not wear bra's...

Personally, I love the look of a woman in a bra. Of course, I can't wait to get it off and massage the puppies, with a woman's blessing of course. Perhaps women need more breast massaging to increase circulation.

Yal, that's it...breast massaging. I should open a clinic for women to come in and have their breast massaged according to their stress levels. I could even do it as a public service and have the new Health Care Plan fund these clinics as preventative medicine. I could get the Nobel Prize for Medicine maybe... What a Novel idea...

Wow! We're titty-twins!

Also, I never wear a bra when I'm in the house. They just irritate, even if I stick to soft cotton only and wash them eleventy times before wearing.

If I worked out without a bra, I'd probably knock myself unconscious. Not to mention anybody I was running with...

I'd consider the guy's theory if he'd backed it with science and logic, but he hasn't.

As much as I like my free titty swanging sisters,I am afraid that I cannot join you.

After four kids, the girls require major support.

I wear a bra only when I have to and I'm a heavy c cup almost d cup.

Why?

Because the darned things are uncomfortable. And I have verra prittiful breasticles, even for a chick who has spawned three times.

The argument for confinement facilitating cancer is a decent one. I read a study (ETA: This was years ago, though)that claims all women have a predisposition for breast cancer and it's a factor of those certain cells being "turned on" in order to grow and become malignant.

It's a much better argument than the deodorant one. The lymph nodes just don't drain that way, people. Simple anatomy.

It's awful,SP. The girls need all the help they can get!

Kids,they'll get you every time!

Should have wrapped those puppies up during pregnancy and just after, until the milk dried up. I kept mine bound in an ace bandage and they didn't fall... too far. A little bit, but not much.
