Louisiana adoptions

Anyone here know if the laws concerning adoption in Louisiana have been modified to allow greater access to adoptions records? (Hoping not, or I'll have to do more rewriting.)

Ruth2, I don't know how recent of a change you are asking about, but I found some information at this website. It states that non-identifying information is available to the adoptive parents, the birth parents, and the adopted child after the age of 18. That's the first part of the information--I'll let you read the other particulars yourself.

There is curr4ently a bill either in the senate or house (I'm not sure which) that would grant adoptees access to more information. It's been stalled for about two years.
