Hey folks! I've been noodling on my guitar around the preschoolers I work for (er, with?) over the last couple of years, and somehow I've accumulated a couple of album's worth of musics.
I've been treating myself like a writer for years now, and my head is rather dizzy catching up with the music publishing business—but my heart is in books.
I'm wondering what you all think about these songs—as books, or in a "Where the sidewalk ends" sort of collection.
Funny thing is, I can tell stories to the kids for hours (well, I start coughing after 30 minutes if I get too excitable), but I have never been comfortable writing them. Music seems to have provided me the structure I could not gain when trying to translate the kid-energy into a sheet of writ.
