HOW TO PUT AN IMAGE ON POST?

I press IMAGE icon to put an image on a post - it doesn't browse as expected but asks for an http: address? I don't immediately understand what to do as I have a code for the image...

Please could anyone kindly explain to this learner what needs to be done to put an image on a post?

I think it only lets you link to images offsite, not actually upload your own. When you press the image button it want's you to copy and past in the web address of where the image is located.

If you have an image on your computer that you want to upload, you may first have to upload it to photobucket or something similar, then paste a link here back to the photobucket location.

Yep You can't upload images directly and need to put the image on photobucket or picas or a similar service then link to it. Please use small images as many members are on dialup.

Thank you both. Have never used photobucket or picas or the like before but will investigate. Thanks too for the reminder to be economical with space when planning to use an image. In this instance for what I was thinking of doing - a link might be simpler.
