Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Even though this isn't one of the originals, I think this is my favorite of the franchise. I just think it's the smartest and most current - more about motive than just gruesome crimes.

Anyway, glad to see it's back with new episodes on March 30 on USA.

CI fans, you in?

Speaking as someone who had Robert Goren as his avatar for a couple of months, I must say it's one of my favorites and that's saying a lot since nowadays I mostly watch detective procedural shows.

At first I was a little ambivalent about the inclusion of Goldblum to the cast, he's still a bit of hit-or-miss but nonetheless he had his great moments; the one with the German terrorists, for example.

Yeah, I like the original, and CI. Funny, but I can't hardly stand to watch SVU.

Side note: The show runner for the Law & Order series had an interesting article in one of the writing magazines a couple of years ago (I think it was The Writer). I would recommend finding and reading the article for anyone interested in writing for TV.

I find that all of the Law and Orders have roughly the same entertainment value.

I like them all more or less the same.

I love Crimint, as I rather cheekily call it. Have voted for Goren in the Hallmark L&O 20th anniversary 'best cop' competition. Sorry, Briscoe.

YES - I knew there were Goren fans on here.

I just like the juxtoposition of the ensemble cast. Everyone brings a little something different to the table and it keeps the show refreshing.

And I have to admit, Jeff Goldblum (Nichols) might be my new #1...

Are you serious? I LOVE SVU! I don't think I've ever seen the original, I like CI, but I like SVU the most.

Hallmark UK's Greatest Law and Order Detective night tonight! I shall get in the crackers and bubbly and see who's on the first 5. Top 5 tomorrow. I love Lennie B, but I did vote for Goren in the end. I wonder who'll win?

Criminal Intent is a cool show, but I don't know how often I'll watch after Goren's last episode. Some of their other people, like Logan, are pretty cool, but Goren is one of the best Law and Order characters ever.

I like all the Law and Orders, but SVU is my favorite.

I'm in the UK now so I haven't seen the last of Goren and Eames yet. I liked the red-haired girl who was Logan's partner for a while - she was such an un-people-friendly bitch! What happened to her, anyway?

Lennie was my all time favorite. I liked Goren in the beginning, but his character jumped the shark after a while with all the little savant asides, like being able to translate the medieval Cyrillic on some mobster's tattoo, and apparently having the equivalent of four years of medical school. We liked to call it Law and Order: Head Tilt, because of all of D'Onofrio's mannerisms.
