Professional email address?

I've seen it said that a professional-looking email address should be used when querying/submitting. What does that mean?

I know that email addresses like [email protected] should not be used. But is a respectable (first name, last name) account on gmail or yahoo OK?

Do you have a separate email account just for querying?

It just means not to have an e-mail like, [email protected]. Having a free service e-mail doesn't matter at all.

I just have [email protected]

It's an address I set up just for querying. I prefer to keep things separate. Also, that way I don't have a heart attack every time I have new mail.

i have a separate email account that i use for professional stuff.

[email protected]

that sort of thing is perfectally fine. also, despite what people will say, it really doesn't matter who you email provider is, so free emails are just fine.
