A bit of old news, but new news to me:
Disney has bought the rights to Wings, written by bestselling debut Paranormal Romance novelist Aprilynne Pike (who is a member here, right?)
Apparently, Hannah Montana actress Miley Cyrus is going to play the lead role of Laurel, the human teenager who happens to turn into a fairy.

While I was going to judge Miley Cyrus' ability to play a role outside of Hannah Montana (something I'm not fond of), I'm sure Aprilynne had some say in the matter, and has confidence in Miley. And also, Miley Cyrus has a new movie coming out: The Last Song, based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks. My point: If you're in a movie based on something Sparks wrote, surely you're doing something right.
Seeing how this news appeared originally a little less than a year ago, are there any updates? IMDB has a page for the movie, but it's for Pro members
