New To Biography Writing

There are a few places right off the top of my head where you can at least get your feet wet and hear what other biographers have to say. I'd definitely subscribe to the electronic (free) newsletter, The Biographer's Craft, which come out on the first of each month like clockwork. It's edited by Jamie Morris, whose bio of Pulitzer was just released last week! The home page for it is right here.

I was gonna encourage you to attend the Biographers International Organization conference in May, but it's in Boston, and you're in Scotland. But for more info on the organization and the conference, go here.

Finally, read biographies. And then read some more. And have fun!
