"forum search" option not working on AW's Google search bar

I'm sure I tried this a few days ago and it did work - typing something into the custom Google search bar at the bottom of every page and it bringing up results from within AW only.

Now, it goes to a results page that contains hits from a web search. The "forum search" button is shown as selected. I switched to the "web search" option and then back again, but it didn't affect the results.

I thought maybe it was a problem with certain areas of the board, but trying from the main Water Cooler page, from within a random thread and from the Basic Writing Questions board all gave the same result.

This doesn't address what might be wrong with the forum, but in the meantime you can preface an ordinary google search with "site:absolutewrite.com" to accomplish a site-specific search.

You know when you note there's a problem with AW, the smart, helpful thing to do would to PM MacAllister (or me) with a link to the thread?

I just happened to see this thread.

MacAllister and the mods can't possibly keep up with all of the threads, and when there's a problem the idea is to fix it sooner rather than later.
