Thanks for sharing this interview, Newport2Newport. She has some great tips for memoir writers. If you haven't read it and you're writing memoir, I recommend you do so. I especially liked her thoughts on bringing sensory detail into her writing. I've read that every page of a memoir should contain each of the senses at least once. It's harder than it sounds to pull off, though.

Thanks, Red Bird, for carving out a little time to read Susan's interview. Like you, I feel lucky to learn from someone "in the know." She's a great writer, and after learning about ROCK 'N' ROLL SOLDIER's long and winding road to publication, I admire her even more.
