My initial reaction was to dedicate my books to my kids. Then I thought it would be kind of creepy since my books are erotic. Am I right?
Who do you dedicate your erotica books to?

The last one I bought was dedicated to the author's friend, also a writer (no, I'm not talking about one of tt42's:D).

Most are dedicated to the author's S/O, family members (not kids, one would assume) or even agents/publishers/editors.

I'm with you. I'd dedicate them to someone over 21. :D

Behind you!
I intend to worry about that when I sign a publishing contract.

There are many people who have been instrumental in my approaching that point. When and if I make it, I'll see who stands out in the crowd.

It won't be my kids, even though they are adults. I agree, that's kind of creepy.

Maryn, not sure her son knows what she writes

I'm dedicating mine to my beta reader as I couldn't have written much of the book without her. Also, no one in my real life knows I write erotica (one or two of my friends seem to think I write respectable stuff like sci-fi ;)and I don't tend to correct them on that) so there would be no point dedicating my book (or future books) to them.
Definitely wouldn't dedicate it to kids though, I agree it is kind of creepy.

Thanks! That's what I thought. I just did a generic dedication to cover all my bases instead.

I can't wait for the in-laws to get a hold of my books. Lord help me!

In your dreams...
My kids know it exists but yeah... although, well... hmmm. Maybe generic to family?

Lots of folks to thank though. All over 21. ;)
