Hi there.

Due to a time constraint, I cannot offer any type of background, I'll do that another time.
My question:
I submitted a piece to the Chicken Soup series of publications. It is specifically for the Chicken Soup for the Alzheimer's Soul.

This was about 4 weeks ago. On the website guidelines it indicates that they do not send out any form of rejection letter. Has anyone else submitted to the CS series? How long would it take to receive a response if the piece is accepted?

Thanx for your help. I look forward to a more in depth introduction shortly.

Gusk, I believe you'll be informed only if your story makes it past the first round. After that, they'll keep you posted on how far into the process you've made it. It takes them a couple of months to get back to you initially, though, so give it a month or so more.

I have a friend who had her piece accepted for the Chicken Soup for Sisters. I recall it took over three months for her to get a partial acceptance, requesting a few edits and then another month for her piece to be accepted. Good luck!
