Due to chronic daily migraines, I'm either in pain or stoned on painkillers. This has led occasionally to some very interesting writing, but, dare I say, accuracy suffers. I'm looking for people to read a piece of fiction and assist me by finding mistakes and offering opinions on the sequel. I'm working on the sequel to Wishbone. If this book looks interesting, you will probably make a good beta reader. You'll get a copy of the first book to read (hey, free porn!). Then I'll feed you tidbits of the new project or ask you questions about it. When it's done, I would like as tight a proofread as possible. Given my mixed experiences of how good editors are, I need your help to put out a book with fewer glitches than Wishbone. Rewards are available, like more free porn, or the same in return.

Any chance you'd post your first chapter at Share Your Work-Erotica? Then potential betas can determine whether it's something of interest to them or not.

Maryn, pleased to meet you (and sorry you suffer migraines)

Echoing what Maryn suggested.

Also, must be something in migraines that makes us write M/M. Hope you find a solution (imigran for me, and sleeping it off).

And welcome to AW!

There is an excerpt available at the original link and other excerpts at a couple of places, like http://laurenpburka.circlet.com/writing/wishbone-is-out/ and http://community.livejournal.com/torquere_social/1506911.html.

I will see if I have enough brain cells to learn an entirely different social networking site. Meanwhile, I hope the above will suffice for the moment.

Edit: If someone wanted to give me a link to this new site and some helpful instructions, it would help cut through the haze in my brain.

Hey do you still need a beta reader? I'm not usually a big s/m fan but the except caught my interest so I'd be willing to read it for you. I'm not the best copyeditor either, my editing experience is more with structure and content issues, but I usually catch homophone switches and that sort of thing.
