need help from all you experts.
my book is divided into 3 parts.
currently i have it formatted something like:
Part 1
One stick of butter
Chapter 1
(story begins here)
Chapter 2
(etc...)
Part 2
One carton of raw eggs
Three cans of creamed corn
16 oz. slab of raw prime rib
(etc)
and one stick of butter
Chapter 9
(more story)
Chapter 10
(etc)
ANYWAY... i'm wondering if things like "parts" and my food list at the start of each one is something decided by an editor or other pro and not something i'm supposed to have in a manuscript for submission.
I still want to include my lists, but I'm wondering if I don't use the "part" heading? the story really doesn't need the "parts" division. I only did that to include my three food lists at specific places in the story.
thanks in advance and sorry for the awkward post format - didn't know how else to describe it.
