Organ donation team member. They're called different things in different places, such as Life Source, Donor Alliance, several others. Most of these folks are former nurses or physician assistants, but not all of them. Their whole day is spent with patients like that and their families, and they deal with medical examiners all the time, since some of the donors are homicide victims (or suspected to be) or suffered traumatic injuries outside the hospital (which lands them in the medical examiner's jurisdiction).
