Would like to find a local critique/writers group...

...I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this message; moderators, feel free to move the thread if this is not where it should be.

I seem to remember once seeing a thread on this site where you could try to hook up with or start a local writers' group. Am I imagining it?

I'm looking for a group in the Charlotte, NC area, and the local writers' club group meets at a time I can't.

Have you checked meetup.com? That's where I found my awesome group ^_^ We've got another group in town that's advertised in the local events paper.
