If any individual is incapable of doing so, I will boot your ass from AW. If the group at large is incapable of it, I will talk to Mac about closing the entire Novel forum. Do not think I won't.

Things have seemed a bit hostile lately huh? I'm glad I'm writing tonight and not getting into trouble. 3000 words so far

FWIW, It is a bit odd we're getting new people coming in with almost no posts and making multiple, multiple outlandish posts, nearly spam I'd say.

Just been an odd week I suppose.

Oh, just so you know, I've also made a promise to port any threads or posts from the next troll that wanders through to P&CE. Not that I want Novels to seem unwelcoming or anything. Far from it. Really.

And I only got banned once. For fifteen minutes. On a dare. Those were the hardest fifteen minutes of my life. Storm clouds brewed, I paced the room, but I remained calm. Really.

I'm sure I'm probably being included in the warning over a couple of posts from last week (sorry, though I think I even mentioned in the post that if I was crossing a line please tell me and I'd delete it, and I would have without a second thought). I was actually thinking this the other day over a post I read, though, that a lot of people seemed to have been taking rather negatively. I'd rather try to give someone the benefit of the doubt and assume the best than automatically jump to the worst, and I'm a pretty patient person, but I also have limits when someone is being purposely antagonistic. I'll make it a point to double-check myself before being negative, though, and I apologize again for any role I might have played in causing problems.

The handy thing (I find) about procrastinating here is that the longer I do it, the guiltier I feel... can't escape from the "should be writing my novel" vibe here in the Novels forum. It's almost tangible.

You go girl! I have noticed quite a bit of snarkiness lately. Maybe it is stress from the holidays and relatives you didn't want to spend time with, and cabin fever from the horrible weather in so many places. I usually just back away slowly and quietly.

Oh, I figure it's post-holiday letdown combined with cabin fever. I know I haven't been immune either, but I'm the mod. This is my job. I will keep the peace, even if I have to go to extremes to do it.

As for closing Novels, just so you know I don't make idle threats, it would be as easy as password protecting the forum (like SYW is) and not giving anyone the password. If Mac agreed, which she's just evil enough to do so. I'm pretty confident it won't come to that, though. Those of us in colder climates just need a spot of sunshine and air warm enough that we can go outside without freezing our lungs. That's all. :e2beat:
