Screenplay beta readers

I'm still not to the point of needing one, but I am to the point of wanting to know exactly the route to go when I am ready to have the whole thing read by someone who specializes in this.

Does anyone have any testimonials?

For beta readers I generally send personal messages with people I know, often times I'll send them a small sample of the script (first five pages) and ask them if they'd be willing to beta it and if they're interested in it based on those 5 pages.

I don't know any professional writers, or amateur writers for that matter to send the script to. I have family and friends, I wouldn't imagine I'd get the hard-nosed critique I'd need from them. And with the internet it would seem a bit risky to send it to random people, or maybe I'm just being paranoid.

All of my writing friends are via the internet. I live in the middle of nowhere. It's really up to you, but I don't have much of a choice.
