Hey, it's time for another teenlit contest. This time we're having it for Valentine's Day. Here's the theme:
Show, Don't Tell
It's the moment when your reader finds out that one character really loves another... only the character doesn't actually say it. How does your YA character express love without the words?
Rules:
- No more than 750 words (I gave you some extra for the showing)
- Include a title in your entry
- You can use an excerpt from a longer work, if you make it self-contained, or of course, write a new short just for the contest
- One entry per person
How to enter/vote:
PM me your entries starting January 15 at 12:00 a.m. EST until January 31 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Put "Valentine Contest Entry" in the subject. Don't forget a title for the entry in the subject.
I will post the entries on February 1st, and you will have until February 13th (11:59 p.m. EST) to vote. People will vote for their top three in a PM to me.
Winners will be posted on Valentine's Day.
I'll post prizes once I work them out, hopefully before the 15th.
