Does anyone know how to insert a blank space / tab in the middle of a line when posting to this forum?
I've tried using the   code, but it doesn't work.

You can't.

HTML is deliberately turned off, and BB Code doesn't have anything like that.

If you need a spacer of some sort, try white underlines. E.g., _____like_____this.
