Got a Mac for Christmas and the first thing I did was download Scrivener. I am loving it, but I am sure I am not maximizing its functionality. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

When you install Scrivener, there is an "Extras Installer" that you really should run. It includes some project templates that are really, really handy.
