Question about 1st/past POV

I have a scene coming up that I think I almost screwed up. The POV character is in the shower. The two supporting characters are in the kitchen. Can I have the two supporting characters have a scene when the main POV character isn't there, with them?

Technically, you can, as long as you adopt the PoV of one of the two supporting characters or use third ominiscent. However, if the entire novel will be in the main character's PoV and this the only break in PoV, I would advise against it. As a reader, it would definitely jerk me out of the novel. It will be even more jarring if the story is written in 1st person. Is there another way for the main character to learn of the two SC's conversation?

I'm thinking, a friend suggested I write in 1st third. I think that will be perfect for these scenes. Thank you for the help.

Put all three of them in the shower together. That would be way more interesting.

Third omniscient, with the focuser mainly on your POV character but occasionally switching to others.

POV character could always be towel drying in his room or on the landing or something, and thus overhear the conversation.
