Where to start

I have an idea that started off as a novel idea but I soon realized that it would be better as a comic or graphic novel but I don't really know where to start. Do I plot it out like I would a book or are there different routes to take considering that there is art involved as well?

I suggest plotting it out then do a page-by-page breakdown. If you're artistically inclined, you can do thumbnails...or write full script.

When plotting it out I won't have to include actions and what not yet do you think? That would be the page by page you were talking about right?

So, I've decided to doodle a little to help with the whole plotting out dealy. I've got the panels on one side of my sketchbook and then the dialogue on the other half that corresponds to the panels. Outlining it like a novel was to hard for me for some reason so lets hope this idea will work.

At this creation stage there's no wrong way, if what you're doing works for you then that's how to do it.
