Hi. I'm Thomas; I write things.
For many years I said I would never care about showing anyone my work beyond a small circle of friends. Then one of these friends asked me for a story of her own. I duly wrote her a middle-grade magical realism novel, and printed it with CreateSpace in order to have a copy to hand over on my friend's birthday.
But once I'd done that, I found I had an Amazon listing on my hands, and I wondered whether I could go about selling it. Word spread slowly, but reading reviews from people I don't know proved to be quite exhilarating. But I quickly found the many problems and difficulties with self-publishing, and decided that for the next novel I would actually take the plunge and see whether I could sell it to an agent. That novel is now being written. The story continues...
(Edit: Oh, I also write poetry, mostly sonnets and triolets. It's fun, but I don't believe they're publishable.)
