I loved this movie it reminded me of a romance novel. Not something that a disney movie has ever done. I think it was the fact that you could actually see the prince falling in love. What do yal think? Have you seen it? Does it remind you of a romance novel or is that just me?

I haven't seen this one, but most Disney animations with princesses are like romance novels.

Beauty and the Beast? My favorite Disney "princess" movie ever! Totally a romance. :) Surely you've seen Beauty & the Beast? If not, you MUST!

My other all-time favorite animated romance is Shrek. I love Shrek.

I haven't seen this one, but most Disney animations with princesses are like romance novels.

Even their other movies are romances -- like Enchanted. In fact, there are A LOT of movies out there that are romances but aren't called what they are because the term "romance" comes with baggage.

Here's a couple off the top of my head (which is tough since I haven't had a second cup of coffee and am fighting a wicked migraine)--

The Bourne Identity -- Romantic Suspense
The Mummy -- Paranormal Romance

I love Beauty and the Beast too!

I will put The princess and the frog on my list, thanks.

BTW, guys, the most amazing romance animation ever, which might be similar to Beauty and the Beast, it's Howl's Moving Castle. A Japanese film that Disney produced. Here is the official trailer, if any of you want to see what is about.

It's based on a YA famous book.

Studio Ghibli produced it, Disney merely bought the rights. ;) It is a wonderful romance. They've done some others too. Princess Mononoke and The Cat Returns are nice too.

I've watched this film. It's lovely. I'm not sure if I like it more or less than Beauty & the Beast.

I've actually been pretty impressed by the job Disney's done with the Studio Ghibli films. I actually liked the Disney dub of Spirited Away slightly more than than the fan sub I initially watched.

I thought The Princess and the Frog was cute. Not the best Disney production and not the worst. The animation was gorgeous. A nice return to the lush animation the studio is known for.

i did forget about beauty and the beast. It wsa my favorite before this movie came along. I know that all the princess movies are romances but I never actually saw them that way. I saw them as princess movies. Still do. I know its just an animation but I love the way he looks at her after he decides that she is what he wants. ::sigh:: :LilLove:

What about Aladdin? I wouldn't couple that as a "Princess" movie. By the way Al looked at Jasmine you could tell that he was head over heels for the girl, and it wasn't until further in that she started to fall for him hardcore.

Me and my friends are planning to go see this tonight, but I bet I'm gunna have to beg one of my friends to go see it cause he's NOT into disney movies ha and I was beyond excited for this movie just because of the animation. It's about time they 86'ed the cgi noise and went back to the route of what made disney good.

ha, I liked her cause of 2 things. 1. the first ethnic princess I could remember coming from Disney besides Nala, cause I mean...girl wasn't a princess or a human and 2. She wasn't a pansy like the majority of the Disney princesses appear to be.
